1) NSAIDs are contraindicated if a patient is on digoxin + an older individual or with renal disease. Does an older individual mean over age 60?
2) The max pediatric daily dose of acetaminophen : In our book on page 122, it is 75 mg/kg, but in the article “An Update on Analgesics for the Management of Acute Postoperative Dental Pain “ by Daniel A. Haas, on page 3 it is 65 mg/kg.
What number is correct?
1) We cannot specify the age range as the article did not specify, but if they wanted to point this out, they will have to clearly mention that the patient has all these conditions all together and is elderly (very very very unlikely). If you do see that the history mentions heart failure, renal disease, and digoxin as a medication, then you might as well check they patients age
2) The updated maximum dose is 75 mg/kg in Hass 2018 article. The one you have posted is an older version.
