What is the NDEB Equivalency Process?
The NDEB Equivalency Process is a pathway for graduates of non-accredited dental programmes to work towards NDEB certification in Canada. After application and credential verification, candidates complete the AFK, ACJ, and NDECC, followed by the Virtual OSCE. Once certified by the NDEB, dentists can apply for licensure with the dental regulatory authority in the province where they plan to practise.
Another option is the university pathway, which involves completing an advanced standing or degree-completion programme at a Canadian dental school. Admission requirements vary by university and may include the AFK, ADAT, interviews, or other assessments. Other pathways may also be available depending on your background and stage in the licensing process.
