ASSESSMENT OF FUNDAMENTAL KNOWLEDGE (AFK)
The Assessment of Fundamental Knowledge is the first step in the NDEB equivalency process for internationally trained dentists in Canada. The exam consists of two hundred single-answer multiple-choice questions, held twice a year in February and August. Questions are drawn from roughly 150 reference texts spanning every dental specialty, and candidates have three attempts.
